School is seriously cutting into my fun shit time and I do not appreciate that at ALL. Just a stenciled shirt this morning, because it's more or less all I've accomplished over my spring break. It is, however, gloriously cheesy and one of those articles of clothing it'll be impossible to be sad in.

So that was fun. I'm happy with this one; it's dorky and full of pink and incongruously cutesy considering IAMX songs are all about deviant sex. Maybe a few more stars couldn't hurt. My other boob is looking lonely. In the future I'd like to try overlapping designs--all the elements are pretty separated here--but I think that works best when you decide what the hell you're going to put on the shirt FIRST, instead of being like "I'm gonna cut out this elfin little man and put him over HERE and ... fuck, now what?" Different Jacquard paints have different heat-setting directions, though, which is really annoying.

I also finally took care of my forehead-glass earrings, but I'll have to wait until the sun comes out to get a good picture. So... it may be awhile.

I'm not sure which icons to upload for this journal. It seems like normally when people have a second journal for arty shit or writey shit, they use pictures that are related somehow--here's my drawinz! Here's something witty about Being A Writer! Here is a man who writes lyrics I really like! But I don't know how that translates to crafty shit. I am not the "LOLZ IM SEWWW HIP" icon type (it's too cat lady for me), and using pictures of my own creations would be ugly because the photography's not usually that great, and pictures of my personal style icons might be... embarrassing. Since design is all about How Things Look, maybe I should just go with things I find aesthetically pleasing? Or I could just do what I normally do and use pictures of funny animals and scenes from comic strips. We'll see. In the meantime, it's the crazy 70s sexploitation picture of Mr. Octopus.
